1. About Berespro and these Terms
Berespro is an online platform, operated by Astaka Mega Sdn Bhd, that connects customers who post tasks with independent service partners who bid to perform them. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these Terms.
Berespro is a platform that connects the two sides. Partners are independent contractors. They are not employees, agents or representatives of Berespro or Astaka Mega Sdn Bhd. Berespro does not perform tasks, does not supervise how work is done, and is not a party to the service contract that forms between a customer and a partner when a bid is accepted.
2. Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding contract under Malaysian law.
- Provide accurate information and keep it current. One account per person.
- You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in secure.
- Partners must complete identity verification before bidding, and set up a payout account with our payment service provider before their bids can be accepted.
3. How the marketplace works
- A customer posts a task with a description, location, timing and budget.
- Partners submit bids. The customer reviews ratings, reviews and prices, then may accept a bid.
- On acceptance, the agreed amount is held by our licensed payment service provider, not by Berespro. Work may then begin.
- When the customer confirms completion, the provider releases the agreed price: the partner receives their share and Berespro retains a platform service fee. The fee is shown to partners before they bid.
- Ratings and reviews are published to build trust between users.
4. Fees and payments
The platform service fee is [fee %] of the accepted job price, retained by Berespro from the amount released by the payment provider. Partners always see their net amount before bidding. Card, online banking and e-wallet details are collected and processed by the provider. Berespro does not store your card details. Holds, releases and refunds are governed by the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
5. Customer responsibilities
- Describe tasks accurately and lawfully.
- Provide safe and reasonable access to the work site.
- Confirm completion honestly and promptly once the work is done.
- Pay only through the platform. Paying a partner off-platform to avoid fees is a breach of these Terms.
6. Partner responsibilities
- Perform work with reasonable skill and care.
- Hold any licences or permits the law requires for the trade, for example electrical or plumbing work.
- Arrive as scheduled and communicate through the platform.
- Comply with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the Acceptable Use Policy.
7. Prohibited conduct
You must not use Berespro for illegal tasks; work requiring licences the partner does not hold; weapons, controlled substances or adult services; harassment or discrimination; fake reviews or bid manipulation; multiple accounts; or off-platform payment to circumvent fees. Breach may result in suspension or termination.
8. Reviews and user content
Reviews must reflect genuine experience. You grant Berespro a licence to display content you submit, such as reviews and task details, for the purpose of operating the service. We may remove content that is unlawful, defamatory or in breach of these Terms, and we provide an in-app mechanism to report content.
9. Disputes between users
Disputes are handled under the Refund & Cancellation Policy. While a dispute is open, the held payment is frozen and cannot be released or refunded until support resolves it. Our resolution of the held amount is final within the platform. This does not limit either party's rights at law.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by Malaysian law, the aggregate liability of Berespro and Astaka Mega Sdn Bhd for any claim arising from a task is limited to the platform fees earned from that transaction. Berespro is not liable for the quality, safety, legality or outcome of a partner's work, although we facilitate dispute resolution in good faith. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under the Consumer Protection Act 1999 where it applies.
11. Insurance
Berespro does not currently provide insurance coverage for tasks performed through the platform. Customers and partners are encouraged to hold their own appropriate insurance.
12. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms, suspected fraud, repeated cancellations, or where required by law, with notice where practicable. You may close your account at any time. Records required by law are retained per the Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be notified in-app before they take effect. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
14. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia, and the courts of Malaysia have jurisdiction over any dispute, without prejudice to any applicable consumer protection rights.
